1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute an agreement between you (individually or on behalf of your enterprise) and AetherKube ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the AetherKube software, containers, tools, and edge licensing services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing our website, requesting license credentials, downloading release archives, or running the AetherKube software, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Private Beta Terms, and License Terms.

2. Nature of Software & Customer Responsibilities

AetherKube is distributed exclusively as self-hosted, customer-operated infrastructure software:

• Infrastructure Governance: You retain complete operational ownership over your computing machines, network topology, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Credential Security: You are solely responsible for securing your cluster credentials (kubeconfig files, certificates, tokens) and ensuring that unauthorized parties cannot access your local AetherKube installation.
• Operational Verification: Autonomous remediation routines, self-healing actions, and chaos engineering tools interact with live cluster resources. You agree to configure appropriate safety policies and maintain independent, verified backups.

3. Organization Accounts and Hierarchy

AetherKube enforces an authoritative organization tenancy hierarchy:

• Organization Ownership: Licenses are issued to an Organization (org_id). Individual users do not hold personal licenses.
• ROOT Administrative Account: The initial administrator who registers the organization is the ROOT user, holding sole authority over member invitations, license activations, and renewal requests.
• MEMBER Accounts: Team members invited by ROOT inherit organization entitlements with 100% feature parity, but cannot invite other users, request renewals, or access owner administrative endpoints.

4. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its user interfaces, graphical designs, diagnostic algorithms, AI Copilot heuristics, self-healing execution graphs, and cryptographic license validation engines, is the proprietary intellectual property of AetherKube and its licensors. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble compiled binaries or container distributions.
